1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using RoleDelta ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
RoleDelta is a career development platform that helps developers identify skill gaps between their current abilities and target job requirements. The Service analyzes your resume, GitHub profile, and self-assessed skills to generate personalized learning campaigns.
3. User Accounts
When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account and password
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
4. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including resumes, profile information, and assessment data ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant RoleDelta a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and analyze this content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
You represent that you have the right to submit any User Content and that such content does not violate any third party's rights.
5. GitHub Integration
The Service may access your public GitHub repositories to analyze your coding projects and detect technologies used. We only access data you explicitly authorize through GitHub's OAuth system. You can revoke this access at any time through your GitHub settings or within the RoleDelta application.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
- Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if you're unsatisfied
- We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice
7. Free Trial
We may offer free trials for paid subscription tiers. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. You will not be charged during the trial period.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit false or misleading information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
- Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by RoleDelta and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will help you obtain employment or achieve any specific career outcomes. Career decisions should be made based on your own judgment and research.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoleDelta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.
12. Account Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
